  • PHARMACOKINETICS OF CLOMIN DROPS

Dicyclomine is absorbed from g.i. tract and is believed to be distributed up to urinary tract. Most part of Dicyclomine is metabolised in liver and is excreted through faeces and urine.

    PHARMACODYNAMICS OF CLOMIN DROPS

Dicyclomine hydrochloride is anticholinergic drug (antimuscarinic) and blocks competitively the muscarinic action of Acetylcholine on smooth muscles. This results in elimination of cholinergic tone causing a relief in spasm. Its antispasmodic activity is free from the atropinic side effects like inhibition of gastric, salivary secretion, effects on heart, dilatation of pupil etc.
